Ruth was a life-long friend and just one of those people who was good to everyone. It was way too soon to lose a person who so greatly and positively affected the world and everyone she met. We had so many laughs with her, and I loved her cute, kind of quiet laugh. You will never be forgotten, Ruth. My deepest sympathies to her family.

My heart sank when I saw the news of Ruth's passing in the paper Sunday morning.
I hadn't seen her since 1985 when I rode the school bus with her. I remember she would sometimes trick me by ducking down in the back seat of the bus, leading me to think the seat was open. When I tried to take the seat, she'd jump up laughing at me.
I am awed by her service and dedication to our county and wish I could thank her for that. My thoughts and prayers are with her family for strength and comfort during this time of great sorrow.

Your laugh, I can still hear it. I think maybe 60% of your laughter was just to make me feel good, not that I was such a great comedian. Thank you. It always made me feel good. It still makes me smile. Laugh with you in the next life, friend.
