Sally MacDonald Obituary

MacDONALD, SALLY STEELE, M.D. (Age 83)

Died January 18, 2003, while in Puerto Rico, where she was visiting her son, Gordon. She is survived by her; sons, Gordon R. MacDonald and Bruce S. MacDonald; grandchildren, Sally R. Downey, Ian B. MacDonald, Janine S. MacDonald and Christine M. MacDonald; nephew, Howard B. Wescott. Her husband, Dr. Gordon R. MacDonald, whom she married in 1942, died in 1982. Their son Douglas S. died in 1995. She was a member of the D.A.R.- Sarah Peale Chapter, Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, Central High School Alumni Association, Kiwanis Club, Rossmoor Chapter. She was a graduate of George Washington University (B.S. and M.D. 1936-1943) and practiced pediatrics, primarily in the setting of school health in the metropolitan area for overthirty years. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2003 at Knox Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 410 Granville Drive, Silver Spring, MD. Donations in lieu of flowers to Douglas S. MacDonald Memorial Scholarship Fund, Kappa Kappa Gamma Scholarship Fund, American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
