SAMUEL MORGAN EVANS, JR.
On Friday, June 30, 2017 of Springfield, Virginia. He was the most beloved husband of Jean Ray Evans; loving father of Linda Evans, Julia Davis, Beth Harder (Christopher), and Jennifer Hobbs (Thomas); and grandfather of Colin and Nora Davis, Sophia and Samuel Hobbs, and Nicholas Harder. Inurnment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Sierra Club at www.sierraclub.org/ or Send a Kid to Camp at www.familymattersdc.org. Please accept our sincere condolences during this difficult time. It has been a privilege to have known Sam. He had a wonderful passion for youth baseball and was a positive influence on many young men. We will miss him but his legacy will live on in the young men that he coached.
May he rest in peace.
