SANDRA JORDAN Obituary
Sandra Lee Jordan "Sandy"
Of Rockville, MD, passed April 29, 2020, at the age of 80. She was born January 30, 1940, to the late Chester and Clarice Baker of Chicago. Sandy is best remembered as a long-time director of the Girl Scout summer day camp Camp Brighton Woods. Her passions were children, nature, and volunteerism. Sandy is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Dan B. Jordan, Sr.; her son, Dan B. Jordan, Jr.; and her sister, Beverly Suhrbier. She is survived by her sister, Diane Orgler (Jerry), daughters, Amy Eutsey (Dwayne) and Rebecca Zuberbier (Gregg), and daughter-in-law, Patti Jordan as well as by six grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. A private funeral will be held May 4, for immediate family, with a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Girl Scout Council of the Nation's Capital or Hospice of Frederick County. Please sign the family online guestbook at www.pumphreyfuneralhome.com

I just wanted to let you all know you will always be in our hearts, mom's, Becky and I. No matter what. You are all family. Your mom has always been the glue that keeps people alive and smiling, she will always continue to do so. Her strength lives on. Thank you for always sharing your family with us, even miles away! We love you all dearly and will be here for you all if you need anything. Much love and grace to all of you. I can feel her watching us now, smiling and giving us one of her patented look or sayings. She will always be in your hearts and ours. Peace and Love. I cherish all that i have of her from playing in the banks at civie, to calling and joking on the phone with her years later! She is strength and hope for me in this life. Again, Thank you for always sharing your family with us all.
