SEAN WALSH

SEAN PATRICK WALSH (Age 50)  
On March 19, 2018, beloved spouse of 17 years to Samuel Luis Rodriguez and dog-dad to Harper and Bug (Alexandria VA), brother, and uncle to many loved nieces and nephews, passed away at his home in Marshall, VA from Liver Cancer. Born January 10, 1968 in Millville, NJ, Sean is survived by his mother Jane Ellen Walsh and siblings, Ellen, Danny, Mary Pat, Tim, Erin, Kelly and Kerry. He was preceded in death by his father, Al Walsh. Sean grew up in North Carolina, and attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He served as Communications Director under the administration of NC Gov. Jim Hunt, and then moved to New York City, where he served under NJ Gov. Jim McGreevy and the Port Authority of NY and NJ. In the last 13 years, Sean and his spouse Sam have resided in Washington DC, where he served as Senior VP for GMMB, Partner at Navigator Communications, and Principal Communications Consultant for Duke Energy. Sean volunteered as a member for the Board of Directors for ACT in Alexandria, and the Fauquier County ASPCA. A memorial in his honor will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington VA on April 7, 2018.
