Hey baby girl it´s mom, we miss so much. It´s been 17 years since you´ve been gone but it seems like yesterday. You son will be graduating high school in June and off to college in August. What a great kid! You would be very proud of him. Of course, you girls Leandra and Stephanie and their families have been there since day one! We´re getting him ready for the prom and senior activities and graduation. I wish you could´ve been here for this milestone event in Gary´s life. We will continue to guide him and love him unconditionally. Rest well my child you will be in our hearts always!

Wow 12 years has passed it seem like yesterday. Sheena the world is crazy we have the 2020 Coronavirus and nobody can go outside without a mask and gloves thousands of people are dying in the US. We work from home now you can only go outside to get food the shelf are empty most store are close expect food place and essential employees. I am praying hard. Your son is safe. I take all of the precautions. He doing well in school and can dance his butt off like his mama. I was suppose to graduate for my associate degree but all schools are close and we do everything online. it's crazy!!! We miss you and ask that you go to GOD on the world's behalf, and let know he got our full attention. Love to the moon and back with all the hearts and stars in the world. Mother

Hey baby we miss you 11years have lasted but it feels like yesterday. Your son is the light of my life. He loves basketball his favorite team is the Boston Celtic his favorite player is LaBron e everybody's doing well kayla and Omar in school Kayla's at Bowie a d Omar at Central in NC Brittany took Sergent test and she waiting to hear results I'm at a Law firm that specializes in immigration. LaShonda's miss you greatly she struggles but Know my GOD is great and will pull her through.
We miss you , we went to your grave site to celebrate your Birthday. Stephanie and Leandra still with us since day one supporting Gary. The boy has 3 bedrooms! Happy Founders Day auntie! It's been almost three years since I last posted. I'm in college now, attending Bowie State University. I finished my first year strong with a 3.5 gpa. Almost as good as yours but not quite. I miss you of course and I wish you were here to help guide me through college. I have a guy friend that I've met and plan on being with for a long time. I wish you could meet him. It sucks that you can't be here to witness some of the things I accomplished since I've been in high school. I plan on becoming a teacher within the next few years and I pray that their salary will increase before I become one. That's pretty much it though. Hey auntie hunny! This is your favorite, and only niece in the world. I got a summer job working with children such as you did. I work near the navy yard at a daycare center named Little Lights Urban Ministries. The children come from Potomac Gardens and are very smart! Anyways, every thing has been good on my end. You will never be forgotten. Every year whether it is Mother's Day and/or Memorial Day, I always place flowers on your gravesite. I never met you in person but your Mom, your sister and son touched my heart and all of those people who showed up for your service I will never forget that day. I especially remember your son touching the boom box to replay the Mariah Carey, "Bye-Bye" song under the tent while your sister was holding him. I remember holding your mother's arm as she went to the beautiful flow sprays to get flowers in each corner of the tent. I was your family service counselor at Harmony. Although I no longer work there. Every year when I put flowers on my loved one graves, I also put flowers on yours. You are now in Heaven but a part of you will always remain with us. God bless you Sheena Marie Day! :)

Happy Mother's Day sweetheart! We didn't go to your grave yesterday, but plan on making it this Sunday. The day was quite and peaceful. Your son made a mother's day card and I going to frame it. Everyone is doing well. Just wanted to let you know that the world is missing a great mom! My job was eliminated a couple of weeks ago so I'm looking for work, but not worried because I know my GOD will provide all our needs. As you know, Sheena was in her first year as a teacher at ECA. To honor and remember her, we have created the Sheena Day Awards for students who exemplify great citizenship, progress, achievement, and attendance. This Fall semester at UDC I was at the Beach in Ocean City on your death anniversary April 13, the same place i was at when you when to be with the FATHER. I wrote a message to you in the sand and watch the sunrest and thank GOD for allowing me the honor of bring you into this world!! Everybody is good. I watch your son dance for me and it was just like watch you! the boy has such rythm and coordination and some wicked moves he reading like a 2 or 3 grader but just in kindergarten you would be proud of him yes I still spoiled him rotten but I work on it cause I know you want him to know that hard work is what pays off now having everything hand to him. Sheena, you're physically gone to be with the Lord as one his angels teaching in heaven. But, your beautiful spirit still lingers on! I have yet to this day to see an outpouring of love with the many people you had come to Harmony Memorial Park to your final resting place. Although, I no longer work there, I still remember holding your mother up to help her collect flowers and your son (while your sister was holding him) hitting the boombox to re-play that Mariah Carey Song, "Bye-Bye" just like it was yesterday! Hey Sheena,
I have many memories of you. I often think about the times when we worked at play centers 2gether in baltimore. We used to have soo much fun with the kids in the center wondering whether or not the kids parents would except young black adults our age to be in charge of their children after school. I remember going along with you when u got the tattoo of the bird on ur thigh and u begged me to hold ur hand while u got it done. I remember the main concern you had back then was making sure ur lil sister was okay in which I never met but I kno u set a great example for. I never got a chance to see you after u left Towson but I kno u prospered, cause u had such a great heart. I remember when we first found out our birthdays were 2 days apart and we laughed and joked how we may have been soulmates. I hope ur smiling down on all ur love ones and I pray for ur family often especially ur son. Anyhow I really missed you and wonder how things would be if u were still around spreadn ur Joy!

It's mom, six months has pasted since you left us I miss you. I know your quite busy being an angel. I just wanted you to know that your son started walking a little after his first birthday, he running now, he has 12 teeth and loves to bite. He favorite words are ok, open door and close door. He looks more and more like you everyday, he has your beautiful smile and eyes. Brittany is doing well and working and studying hard. I worked with sheena at six flags in largo. We worked the virtual reality simulation games in the arcade. Sheena was a great girl to work with and hang with.Always smiling, laughing, trying to bus jokes on the other workers. When the boss wasn't around we would take some arcade coins and play the competitive games together. For that summer she was like my lil sister. Sheena was such an important part of the class of 2002 Student Body. She will be dearly missed. She will always be remembered..for her bubbly and funny sense of humor, and her vibrant smile .When we have a class reunion, i hope we can do some type of candlelight vigil for her and Micheal White. Just walking into the school is not the same without you. I looked forward to you bringing one of your students to my classroom laughing because they kept telling you “No” and coming to the door asking for baby wipes because a certain someone had an accident, just about everyday. I looked forward to going to lunch and chatting about the latest CD’s that came out then asking to borrow it, and you harassing me to return them. Coming in the room singing "Sheena don’t give a what." Making up the ABC song to the Soulja Boy beat so your kids could remember them. In the lounge with that big black bag because you had to pump (LOL) laughing at "Toochies" hair because you said his braids would never lay down.
I'll miss your presence and laughter that could fill a room. Things just will not be the same without you.

OMG I cant believe this has happened.Sheena I remember meeting you in Columbia Park Elementary. If I am correct you and Maynard came there in 4th grade maybe 5th. Even though I haven't seen you since the 6th grade this is still hitting home with me. I am at a loss for words right now. You were one of the sweetest people ever back then, I know you carried that with you until now. I would like to reflect more, but I cant get my thoughts together. Ill come back some other time. But to the Maynard and the family you all are definitely in my prayers. I will be unable to make it to the funeral because I've been on my job for about 4 months and this year's tragedies are getting the best of me in my own family. I would love to be there so bad to pay my final respect to the Angel. Take care of that little baby! GOD Bless

I felt a warm vibe from you. We talked to one another as if we known each other for a long time.
