A native of Sterling, VA, currently of Baldwin, WI, died at INOVA Fairfax Hospital on August 17, 2004. She is survived by David, her loving husband of 12 years; their two children, Emily Danielle and Jacob Wesley; her parents Joseph and Patricia Watson of Sterling, VA; and her sisters Janice Watson Williams and Patti Watson; two nieces and four nephews; a large extended family; and numerous loving friends. Public visitation will be held at LOUDOUN FUNERAL CHAPEL in Leesburg, VA, on Thursday, August 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. A celebration of Shelly's life will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, August 18, at Calvary Baptist Church on Jenkins Lane in Ashburn, VA. Memorial donations may be made in Shelly's memory to the Lombardi Cancer Center, 3970 Reservoir Road, NW, Washington, D.C. 20057, towards cancer research.

As a former co-worker of Shelly's, I am saddened to learn of our loss. Although we worked in different departments and our interactions were rare, when I think of Shelly, I remember her smile. I believe she has returned to God our creator as we all will.
