STANLEY BURTON KRONSTEDT "Burt"

Stanley Burton Kronstedt passed away early in the morning on February 16, 2023 at the age of 92 at the Mount Vernon Rehabilitation Center.



Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Anton and Helen Kronstedt. Burt graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. and M.A. in Public Administration and was drafted in the Army for a few years.



He met his wife, Vivian, at the York Club and Burt and Vivian were married on March 2, 1957.



He worked for many U.S. Government agencies and spent the majority and last part of his career with the Department of Justice, where he was in the Justice Management Division and retired as the Appropriations Liaison Officer in 1993.



Burt continued to keep busy after retirement as an Independent Contractor. He volunteered for the Civic Association of Hollin Hills, was part of the Vestry at St. Luke's and was part of the Volunteer Guardians for Older Adults.



Burt is survived by his wife of nearly 66 years, Vivian Kronstedt; four children, Teresa (Brian Flynn), Roger, Sharon (John Crutchfield) and Erika; seven grandchildren, Kian and Gavin Flynn, Shane (Gabrielle), Sonja and Solena Kronstedt, Karena and Natasha Crutchfield; and two great-grandchildren, Aries and Leonidas Kronstedt.



Visitation will be held on March 1, 2023 at Everly-Wheatly Funeral Home, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA 22302 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.



Funeral will be held on March 2, 2023 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 8009 Fort Hunt Rd., Alexandria, VA 22308 at 11 a.m.



Graveside service will follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, 6600 South Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22306.

My deepest sympathy to my mother, brother, sisters, my children, nieces and nephews. My mother chose to have the funeral on their anniversary. All of us will love him forever and ever! He was a wonderful father and deeply cared for all of us as much as we cared for him.
