On Friday, July 15, 2005, STANLEY S. LANE, at the Bedford Court Nursing Home in Silver Spring, MD, of natural causes at age 103. Beloved husband of the late Frances Antis Lane; devoted father of Bruce S. (Ann) Lane of Chevy Chase, MD; loving grandfather of Sue Ellen Silber of Cortlandt Manor, NY, Charles M. Lane of Washington, DC and Richard I. Lane of Bethesda, MD. Brother-in-law of Selma Levine, Ruth Solomon and Mildred Montanari. Also survived by six great-grandchildren. Interment services at Arlington National Cemetery will be private. A memorial service will be held at the residence of Bruce S. Lane at a date to be announced later. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Stanley S. Lane Memorial Fund, Riverdale-Bronx YMHA, 5625 Arlington Ave., Bronx, NY 10471 or to the charity of your choice.
