Stephen Bruce Latter  
On Friday, September 3, 2021, Stephen Bruce Latter, of Silver Spring, MD, died peacefully at the age of 71 while under the comfort care at Capital Caring Hospice. Stephen was born in Washington, DC on July 9, 1950, to the late Charles and Paula Latter. He grew up in Silver Spring and graduated in 1968 from Albert Einstein High School. Stephen graduated with a degree of Bachelors of Science from the University of Maryland in 1972. Stephen was a standup guy. If you knew him, you would know that his favorite things were to tell an obnoxious joke every chance he would get, listen to or sing Frank Sinatra songs, and play golf. Stephen enjoyed many good times with his close family and friends. Stephen is survived by his children, Zachary Latter (Nataly), Ashley Latter, and the late Alyson Latter. Brother of David Latter (Tina). Uncle of Holly (Jason), Gregory (Mallory), Todd (Danielle). Nephew of Mike Friedman. Cousin of Doreen Bell (Ronald). Long-time friends to Marilyn Lipskind, Margie Geller, Jill Levine, Mary Muroski, Neil Zarin, and many, many more. The family wishes to thank Suburban Hospital and the caregivers/nurse practitioners at Capital Caring Hospice who provided professional and compassionate care and companionship for our father. A funeral service will be held at Judean Memorial Gardens (16225 Batchellors Forest Rd., Olney, MD, 20832) on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity.
