Steve,
You were the intelligence that kept me curious, the laughter that kept me happy, and the love that kept me alive.
Hope you've found the same in the ever-after.

I worked with Steve at ISI for 5 years. He was a great leader. He was always very caring and you could always stop by his office if you wanted to talk. Steve was always generous and had such a big heart. He will be missed My condolences to his family especially Ben and Taylor.

Steve was an important part of my life in the 80s. He was one of the most intelligent people I have ever known, yet he had a great sense of humor and was very down to earth. My sympathy goes out to his children and other family members. I regret having learned of his death so late.

Stevie,
You have been an Integral part of my life. People need to know how brilliant you were, how you could answer every question i've ever had if it meant giving me directions because i was lost or the name of an exotic fish in an aquarium in the carribean, how you would smile and say "i'm not making this up" after every story you told and how you put everyone else's needs before your own. I will always remember the last thing you said to me on December 14th which was that "You love me and would always be there for me"...i know that you will. I'am in deep sorrow and I regret that you will not see Christian and I marry-but we will as you wished. My sincerest condolences to Taylor and Ben. I promise to look after Gabby & Patricia I'am going to charish all of the memories we've shared forever.
Love,
~Your Kimi

Steve and I were friends in the late 1960's-early 1970s. We attended an Eric Burden and War concert in Memphis which was one of my favorites. We'll miss you, Steve.

Ben and Taylor,
For what it’s worth, I share your sorrow. I want you to know I also have a lot of regrets because I was never able to tell Steve how important he was to me my whole life, and how proud I was of him for all his wonderful accomplishments. He was such a good brother. I’ve been remembering the kind and generous things he did for me when we were young, and how he has rescued me from trouble for as long as I can remember. I admired and loved him more than I can ever say, and I know I have lost the chance of ever telling him now. My heart is broken – I have lost my big brother.
