Steven Mihalik Obituary
On June 20, 2004, DR. STEVEN J. MIHALIK, M.D., 36, of Hanover, PA, and formerly of Silver Spring, MD. Loving husband of Donna S. (Santucci) Mihalik; son of James J. and Jane A. (Adams) Mihalik of Edgewater, MD; father of Blake A. Mihalik, Cole G. Mihalik and Aiden J. Mihalik, all of Edgewater, MD; stepfather of Andrew Vekeman and Morgan Vekeman, both of Olney, MD and brother of Lisa A. Mihalik of Silver Spring, MD. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon, Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, 129 Charles St., Hanover, PA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in Steven's name to the Make-a-Wish Foundation of South Central Pennsylvania, 2649 B Carnegie Rd., York, PA 17402. Arrangements by KENWORTHY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 269 Frederick St., Hanover.

Dr Mihalik, was a wonderful doctor to both of our daughters. He treated our youngest daughter in the hospital on Memorial Day weekend and was a true God sent. We will surely miss him. Our thoughts and prayers got out to his Family.

Our deepest sympathy to Donna & family, to Jim, Jane, & Lisa, in the sudden passing of our beloved nephew, Dr. Steve Mihalik. We have known and loved Steve since he came into this world, and we will truly miss him. He was a wonderful person, who accomplished so much in his lifetime. He was a devoted father and physician, and a generous, caring friend to all. Steve will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, but we know that he is now in a peaceful place, at one with the universe. He will continue to live in our hearts and memories.

dr mihalik was a great doctor. So very caring and always eager to help. He saw my children Ricky and Bryanna. Just 2 weeks ago i saw him and he spoke of opening his own practice. What a sad day for his family. My prayers go out to you at this time of mourning.

We were very shocked and saddened by the news of Dr. Mihalik's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. He was an incredible doctor to my two children, Quinton and Sydney and will be sorely missed by hundreds of children.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Dr. Mihalik's family. He saw my daughter, Alicia (age 9) and my son, Isaac (age 7) on numerous office visits. His friendly interaction with children made him a great asset to Hanover Pediatric. He will be missed. May you find comfort in knowing that he watches over you from Heaven.

DR.MIHALIK WAS MY SON GARRETT'S DOCTOR. I COULD ALWAYS COUNT ON HIM TO BE THERE, IF NOT ALWAYS TO SEE HIM FOR AN EMERGENCY, AT LEAST HE WAS ALWAYS ABLE TO HONESTLY ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS I MAY HAVE HAD. AND HE WAS ALWAYS ABLE TO CALM MY CONCERNS. WE WILL MISS HIM. OUR HEARTS GO OUT TO THE MIHALIK FAMILY.

Deepest sympathies to the Mihalik family. We were devastated by this sad news. My sons Andrew(10 months) and Mason (5yrs) were also patients of Dr. Mihalik. My family and I just thought he was the nicest doctor and loved the way he interacted with our kids. We also knew Dr. Mihalik from the Hanover Soccer club. He was so proud of his sons and even took the time to talk with Mason about soccer and tell him how great a player he was as well as show him soccer pics of his own son one day when we were at the doctor's office for the baby. We didn't even have an appt. with him that day! He will be missed and we wish we could have known him better. I remember going home and commenting to my husband on how great it was that he took that extra time to make Mason feel special. It makes you realize how little things you do in daily life for people can make an impact on their lives. Our prayers and blessings are with his family at this sad time.

Our family is deeply saddened by the news of Dr. Mihalik's passing. He was the Doctor who helped deliver our daughter Riley last October, seen her many, many times over the past few months for colds and ear infections as well as her well-baby visits. He always had a smile for us. He will be missed.

My daughter Hailey is a patient at Hanover Peds and seen Dr.Mihalik a few times. He was a very nice man and always had a smile on his face. My heart goes out to his family in this time of need. Your thoughts and prayers will be with me.

I used to work at Hanover Pediatrics with Dr.Mihalik, he was a great doctor and a great man. I was saddened to hear the passing of him. I was also a patient of his, he diagnosised me when I had galstones. My heart goes out to his family during this difficult time. May Dr.Mihalik rest in peace.God Bless.

The Malinowski family is deeply saddened by the passing of our neighbor Steve, We didn't really get to know Steve very well due to our busy schedules but did get to know Blake and Cole as they played with our son Ryan. I wish our family did get to know Steve, I'm sure he was a wonderful person. The Malinowski family would like to help in any way we can. Dr. Mihalik was my daughter's doctor- he was the doctor who helped bring my baby girl into this world! He helped take care of her whenever she got sick- answered my pages in the middle of the night, and calmed my fears when she fell and bit straight through her bottom lip. He was always very nice, and will certainly be missed. We have lost a great doctor and by all accounts, a great man. His loss will be felt very deeply by my family and myself. Our prayers and blessings go out to his family.
