What an amazing classmate from our Walter Johnson HS class of 1964. We are all incredibly proud of your accomplishments...your impressive career; your great personal, community and business success; and your never-ending generosity. Perhaps your biggest legacy is friendship. You left behind a great group of classmates who we know are grieving and hanging on to so many wonderful memories. Our hearts go out to your family and the lives you touched as you "gave back" to the community. We only wish we had personally spent more time with you throughout the years. Kind, unassuming and fun to be around...you are missed, Steve. Love, Janette and Gary

Steve Newby....One of my closest, lifetime best friends for over 60 years. Lived together, in each others weddings and God Parents to Andy along with Dennis and Tina Mckay. Have had so many adventures and good times with Steve too numerous to mention. Supported each other through them all. Hardly a couple weeks has gone by in those 60 plus years that we didnt communicate or get together. Loved him, miss him. Brian and Denise Ligon and Family
