Steven Newman Obituary
Born Nov 12, 1945, Steve graduated from Brooklyn College and the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (1972). He trained at UCLA and started his anesthesiology career at St Joseph Hospital in Orange, CA.
Steve was a renaissance man with limitless energy and charm. An entrepreneur, a philanthropist and a great scholar and debater, Steve was also an avid skier and loved to travel. He was a full participant in life, a fabulous dancer and the best host.
He is deeply missed by his wife Janice, daughter Emily (Siraj), son Bernard (Brittany), sister Jacqueline, brother Edward, and his precious granddaughter Millie.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Temple Rodef Shalom, Falls Church, VA.
Northern Virginia Jewish Funerals, Vienna, VA is handling arrangements.
