Hey Steve, Aunt Rose passed on March 10th! I'm sure she has already arrived, maybe that your spirits have met. Anyway just wanted to give you a heads up. Remember the corn that you and Tony fed to Uncle Arthur's Hogs, while visiting one summer! I'm sure you and Rose will have a laugh about that. Her heart was full of love for you, me and everyone. Your Spirit continues to live in all our hearts Son! - Dad

Dear Steven, I have never met you while you were walking this earth in your physical body. But I met your father, and through the gate way of his heart, I feel I know you. You, who are love, shined through your personality and physical body out into the world. And from your passing still continue to touch many lives. Your love is less contained now, and you ride on the wings of your shining spirit, continuing to light other peoples lives, beyond family community and friends. You have touched my life, and I honer you and your family this day. Peace to all. Love Deborah

As I experience the holidays, and daily living without you, it all feels empty, but I close my eyes and think back to each and every day that we had together, and it does bring some healing to this broken heart, for you were the best husband, friend and christian ever to cross my path, and that in itself is a blessing, even tho life will never be the same without you, continuing to LIVE STRONG in your memory. I MISS YOU, FOR EVER YOUR WIFE

Not one day or one second goes by without me missing you, your smile, and laughter, but most of all your positive outlook on LIFE, no matter what obstacles you were faced with, some days are more unbearable than others, I can still hear your voice. I feel you nearby, missing my husband my best friend

I never met Steve, only know his father Charles. But what I do know is how much Charles loved Steve, how proud he was of him, and how much he is missed by his father. I enjoy listening to Charles' stories of Steve. He sounds like such a wonderful man.

I met Steve only once at my friend Sylvia's home in Takoma Park. When she told me about him I knew he was a very special person to her. Speaking to and spending a weekend with Sylvia I grew to know Steve and how very special he was and how many people's lives he touched. So I want to thank Steve for having been so good and loving to my friend with all his heart and soul. I pray that he rests in peace and that God keeps him in his care. May God also embrace my wonderful friend in her time of such great pain and her loss. You are both in my thoughts and prays.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Steve,Steve,Steve. Not much that I can say that hasn't been said. You were truly a gentle soul that we all miss. I know that with each passing day God has you at his side bestowing his blessing upon you. With each day that passes you would think it gets easier but in reality it doesn't. With me I'm trying to understand why. I know God has a plan and it's not for me to question his plan(s) but within my heart I still find myself asking,"Why". God Bless you Steve.
Much Love

Dad,
As I miss you everyday, I remember so much...of your smile when i made you proud or happy...your laughter when i made a face. I still feel your warm embrace when I'm scared or alone. I remember so much...of the wisdom and advice you gave me when I needed it or when you felt it was needed. I remember... the expression on your face when i told you I had a boyfriend, haha you should have seen his face. I remember the fun times we had my entire childhood. I had the best times just laughing with you. The way you took care of me and nene, anything we needed we received. I'll remember the strength you gave me, and the way that you loved and raised me. I'll remember the way that you saved me,now that im standing on my own. There is no one else like my daddy, he's the man in my life that can't be replaced. His love is unconditional, it never goes away. There aren't many men to take care of their responsiblities...I thank God for my daddy, he was a phenominal man, friend and father figure. Your love was overwhelming your so much apart of me, thank you for all the memories...I LOVE YOU SO MUCH DADDY! and I thank you for loving me.
ALWAYS and FOREVER,
Your babygirl...

Steve will live in all of us forever. He left something that we all can hold on to. For me, I'll always remember his gentle but firm ways. He taught me that anything is possible. He gave me so much encouragement when we rode our bikes together-he never gave up. He showed me that no matter what, if you want something, believe in what you want, consider it yours-you just have to believe. Steve, I do believe that I'll see you in the future, waiting at the gates with that big welcoming smile that you so often displayed. Love you Steve-your brother.
