Steve- was a winner. He helped me and my family and I will never forget him... "that's a wow" as he used to say. I hope I can carry on in some small way that smile of his and that optimism when the world seemed to be turning upside down. Many blessings to his family.

I will remember Steven always. He was brought into my life, 12 years ago, by the grace of God, and he helped me navigate my way through very difficult times.
I have become a better person because of him. I will miss our professional talks, his warm smile, infectious laugh, the twinkle of his eyes, and his generous nature.

To quote a Yiddish saying..."When the heart is full the eyes overflow."

I know you will be seated by the right hand of god Steven...

We have two ways of remembering people who leave us and start another journey. We either cry over their absence, or smile and remember them through the countless memories that have stayed back. We're sure Steven wants you to smile forever. Our deepest sympathy to the family.

I, too, enjoyed Steve's perpetual smile. I took several classes from him at PEP and he offered amazing insight as he walked us through complex ideas and challenging parenting moments. I will always appreciate his encouragement and thoughtfulness towards everyone at PEP. He always glowed while telling stories about his beloved daughters. We will miss him.

Steve was a dear colleague, an excellent supervisor and a man with a true love of life. His positive world view was infectious and his clear caring for others always shown through. His quick wit and easy smile made the workplace a happier place. He will be missed by many of us.

I had the pleasure of teaching Melina so many years ago at Fallsmead ES; Steve and Emilia were the most supportive, caring, and encouraging parents; I fell in love with the entire family! Although it has been many years, I have never forgotten all of you and was so very sorry to learn of Steve's passing. I know he leaves a legacy of loving memories that will help sustain you during the days and months ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Steve's legacy was successfully achieved and well supported by his family. May our Creator be your refuge and strength and help that is readily found in times of distress.

Steve was a wonderful colleague. It was a pleasure to share office space for many years. It was especially wonderful to come to work in the morning, at some point in the day meet outside of our offices and see Steve's perpetual smile. He represented a sense of optimist which was contagious. Eva Kaplan
