Suzanne Margaret Peloquin Bready
Suzanne Margaret Peloquin Bready, (age 70), passed away on June 7, 2023, surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Suzanne passed from complications of Parkinson's disease.
The eldest of six children, Suzanne was born April 16, 1953, to Robert and Margaret Peloquin at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. She spent her formative years on Oliver Street in NW Washington, DC. Suzanne attended Blessed Sacrament School followed by Immaculata Preparatory School in Washington, DC where she was a 1971 graduate.
Her higher education accomplishments included Salve Regina University in Newport, RI, Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA, and The University of Maryland, with a BS in education. She went on to further her education with a master's degree.
Suzanne worked with Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland, where she was a mentor to countless new and seasoned teachers. Suzanne had a wonderful sense of humor which she was remembered fondly for by her students and colleagues alike. She spent her last decades enjoying life at the beach in Ocean View, Delaware with her husband, Michael Bready.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Peggy Peloquin and her brother Mark Peloquin. She is the beloved wife of Michael Bready of Charles Town, WV; mother of four children, Shawn Wise and her husband, Trevor, (Garrett and Dolan) of Severna Park, MD, Molly Urban and her husband Scott, (Mackenzie, Bready, Cooper, and Griffin) of Salisbury, MD, Michael Bready, Jr. and his wife Camila (Isabella) of Colesville, MD, Caitlin Jones and her husband, Alan (Jack and Emma) of Harpers Ferry, WV.
Suzanne left behind her siblings, Bob Peloquin Jr and his wife Mary (Clint, Katherine, Carly, Cammy) of Ft Lauderdale, FL, Charles Peloquin and his wife Angie (Danny, Jeremy, Elizabeth) of Waynesboro, PA, John Peloquin of Florida, Christine Lightfoot and her husband Richard (Meaghan and Riley) of Potomac, MD. Suzanne cherished her many friendships who were like family to her, including her longest and dear friend Judy (Body) Callahan of Easton, MD, Mary Sue Preissner of Columbia, MD, and Lynn Harrison of Rockville, MD.
A memorial service will be held September 9, 2023, at Blessed Sacrament Church; 5949 Western Ave. NW, Washington, DC at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Suzanne's name to American Parkinson Disease Association:
