On Monday, September 12, 2005. Beloved husband of Bernetta; devoted father of Tonya Cerise; son of Mary Francis. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Deonte, Dajon and Sean; five sisters, Sandra Powell, Jacqueline Townsend, Carolyn Francis, Florence Canada and Fern Francis; three brothers, James Francis, II, Frank Matthews and Elwood Townsend; one goddaughter Alva Yelverton, a host of other relatives and friends. The late Mr. Francis will lie in state at Beulah Baptist Church, 5820 Dix St., N.E., Monday, September 19 from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Pastor Marcus Turner, officiating. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Services by STEWART.

To Sis,
What a true friend Tom was to so many and especially to me.A loving, giving and caring person who would do whatever he could do to help you. I am so blessed that God allowed me to know Tom. Thank you Sis for sharing Tom with so many of us. My prayers are with you and the family. I will truly miss his smile , his love and his friendship.
