My family (me, Tim & Megan) knew Taylor when she lived in Ashburn and we have been devastated by this tragedy. I cannot begin to understand how Janet gets through the day. I will always see Taylor in my minds eye as the smiling sweetheart going back and forth to the pool. How over the course of one winter she blossomed into a gorgeous young lady and how Janet and I talked about our girls and how scary it was that they were growing so quickly. Janet - know that you were a terrific mother and I strive to have the kind of relationship with Megan that you had with Taylor. Know that you are constantly in my prayers.

I am so very sorry for your family and what you all are feeling. I, too, lost my daughter just last month. She was 22, only by four days, and our baby. She was found floating in a pool in Arlington. I still wait for her to coming flying in the house in a whirlwind and calling for our dog. I don't cry every hour, now it's down to about every other hour. Maybe next month, it will be less. Please know that you and your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you.
Sincerely,
Kathy

To the family of Taylor;
I am deeply sadden by your loss and can say that I understand. My 18 year old daughter, two days before we were to leave for college, was in a tragic fatal accident on August 17 on Lee Chapel Rd. The three other passengers (her friends) fortunately are fine. Oddly enough she was the only one wearing her seat belt. I know the pain but I am also aware that you have gone through tragic circumstances leading up to her death. Jamie Alexandra Grimsley was my only daughter, although I have two other sons. There is a special bond between a mother and a daughter and I will miss her compassion. All of our children we love with such an unselfish love and we are truly broken and torn when we have to say Goodbye. It is simply out of order, unfair and very confusing. I wish I could understand but I never will; maybe when I see her in the end, and only then, will I be able to understand. Again, I feel your pain.
Sincerely,
Jamie Pumpelly

Taylor was a beautiful young woman and the love you had for each other was clearly revealed every time you wrote or spoke of her. Taylor is now safe in God's Kingdom where there is no sorrow, suffering, pain or darkness. Taylor's memory will live on in your heart forever. Taylor's memory will also live in my heart forever as I will never forget her beautiful face. I hope you will find peace in the fact that one day you will be with Taylor for eternity. There are no words to ease your pain
So many unanswered questions remain
I did not know her but all the same
I prayed for her and He called her name
Too early for us to see her go
Why this happened? We may never know
Just know you have friends all over the world
Praying for you and your beautiful girl
Time will heal this pain and grief
Just trust in your faith and there will be relief....
Praying for you all...God Bless

To Taylor's Family & Friends-
I, like many others, have never met Taylor. But apparently we had a mutual friend...sadly enough, our lives never quite had the chance to cross. But my heart hurts for you. I lost a brother when I was 14 (he was 16) so I know how hard it is to lose someone so close and dear to you. Though, my situation is not nearly as tragic as yours, I offer any sympathy that I can in your hardest of times. My condolences could go on forever and ever. I am truly sorry for your loss, and I pray for the day that you can all get your emotional strength back from this horrible event. God bless, more people are thinking of you than you can honestly comprehend...We all send our love from Longwood University.
