TERENCE DUNWORTH "Terry"
Terence "Terry" Dunworth, 85, of Falling Waters, WV, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023. Terry had an impressive career in the field of criminal justice research and public policy. He worked at the RAND Corporation, Abt Associates, and at the Urban Institute as Director of the Justice Policy Center and as an Institute Fellow.
He is survived by his partner, Marilyn Holmes; three daughters, Ursula and husband David Thompson of Tacoma, WA, Eva Klein of Boston, MA, and Ashleigh Dunworth and partner Behrad Ashayeri of Washington D.C.; and three grandchildren Jonathan Klein, Kieran Jackson, and Olivia Jackson. Services and interment will be private. Arrangements made by Brown Funeral Home. Online condolences may be offered at:

We remember Terry fondly. His presence on the tennis and pickle ball courts, his gruff manner belying his kind heart, his generosity in word and deed. He always gave good advice, was quick with a word of encouragement, and was a team player. It was a pleasure to visit your woodworking shop and witness Terry's passion for skilled carpentry.
Gone too soon. May his memory be eternal.

Dear Marylin,
It is difficult to believe that Terry has left us. He was playing at the top of his game with us and left us so suddenly.
It is so, so sad and unexpected. He will be sorely missed on and off the tennis and pickleball courts.
Terry was of few words, but they were very wise... and always supportive and encouraging.
Our thoughts are with you and your family.
