Theodore Chipouras Obituary
Theodore Peter Chipouras
Dr. Theodore P Chipouras DDS, 87, dentist and native Washingtonian. Dr. Chipouras was an alum of Gonzaga ('53) and Georgetown University ('61,'03). After dental school, he was drafted into the Air Force. As a Captain, Dr. Chipouras was stationed at Spangdahlem Air Base, Germany ('61-'63). Lifelong member of St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Order of AHEPA. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Lambros Chipouras. Beloved father to Georgia (Paul) Munson, Joanna (Chris) Mantzuranis and grandfather to Evangelia Mantzuranis. He also leaves his first cousin, Katherine Patterson, as well as many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday December 7, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Joseph Gawler's Sons. Funeral Services will be Thursday December 8, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Saint Sophia Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, MD.
