THEODORE A. MacDONALD
Has scored an eagle on the 18th hole. Ted MacDonald, 83, passed away in his sleep on July 20, 2016 in Roanoke, VA. Born September 11, 1932 in Parker, PA, Ted spent most of his working career in Arlington, VA. and its environs.Ted served in the Security Service of the Air Force in Korea and Japan. Then he received his BA from Clarion College and an MA from Georgetown University. Ted loved history and taught it at Friendly High in Prince George''s County, MD. In retirement, he was past President of the North Virginia Golf Association. Ted is survived by his niece, Robin MacDonald, aka Josh; two nephews, Paul and Gerald MacDonald; sister-in-law, Virginia MacDonald and his companion of over 20 years, Mollie Hester.A private service is being planned. The family would like to thank the staff of Virginia Veterans Care Center for all their wonderful care of our uncle. Online condolences may be expressed at: www.simpsonfuneral.com
