FOLTZ THOMAS J. FOLTZ Suddenly on Sunday July 20, 2008, Thomas James Foltz, 61, beloved husband of Rochelle Givens Foltz, loving father of Laura Elizabeth Foltz, Jared James Foltz, Laura Rochelle Givens, and Emily Ruth Givens all of Alexandria and devoted brother of William Foltz of Benton, Wisconsin and Robert Foltz of Bonita Springs, Florida. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, friends and colleagues who will miss him greatly. Thomas was born in Mount Vernon, New York. He earned his B.S. at Harvard College, John F. Kennedy School of Government with Honors. He earned his law degree at Antioch School of Law in Washington, D.C. Thomas practiced law in Old Town Alexandria for over 20 years. He was a well-respected trial lawyer in Virginia and D.C. courts who also testified before the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on the Constitution. He was published in ABA and other legal journals, was president of the Alexandria Bar Association, and provided expert legal advice on CNN. Since 1999, he worked as an Assistant Attorney General, Civil Division, for the Washington, D.C. Government. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 23, 2008 at EVERLY COMMUNITY FUNERAL CARE, 6161 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA from 6 to 8 p.m. with a short service at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be private in Sugarcreek.
