Dear Foltz Family:
It is with great sadness that I learned of Tom's death today. I had the pleasure of working with him at the OAG. As an intern and a "second career" lawyer, I valued Tom's counsel, his advice, his calmness, and his dedication. The world is less without him in it. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss.

Tom and I went to law school together and later worked together.
We also took the same bar exam in Washington, DC. We were allowed to type our answers. Tom brought two typewriters-an electric one for speed and a backup portable in case the electricity went out.

Dear Laura and Jared,
It was with great sadness we learned of your Dad's passing today. George and I have many fond memories of your Dad, to include working on the pool board and civic association. Tom was eager to help with any activity needed in our White Oak community. The best of times was going trick-or-treating with you, Nick and Anne. We are all very sorry for your loss. Tom and I were both living in New York prior to going to law school in Washington. We rented a U-Haul truck together for the move. I can't remember why, but I didn't help him move his things into the truck. However, he graciously helped me.
My condolences to his wife and children --

To the Foltz and Givens families, I am so sorry for your loss. Tom was a great neighbor, and Quinn and I loved seeing you go on your nightly walks past our front porch. He will be very missed. Love, Joan and Quinn

Dear Foltz Family,
I worked with Tom on several issues during his employment with the D.C. government. He had a smile and determination that I'll always remember. My deepest condolences in your time of bereavement.

Rochelle,
I'm so very sorry. The best that can be hoped for now is that your good memories of Tom sustain you as time heals this wound. There is no "fast-forward" button to get you beyond the pain, but your good friends and family will help you in the coming months and years. God bless you.
