My sincere condolences to the Weems family in the passing of Thomas. Thomas was a wonderful, kind and loving person He and my late husband, Leroy "Shotgun" Sandifer were teammates with the Washington Blacksox Sandlot Team. Over the years, they kept in contact and shared many memories of their baseball days and were inducted into the Negro League Legends Hall of Fame on August 14, 2008. I will always remember his care and concern during my husband's illness and passing. Thomas will be truly missed, but now he has eternal peace and is resting in the hands of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Arlene M. Sandifer

Dear Mother Queen, Anjanette, Peaches, Kevin, beautiful granddaughters & family,
You are in our daily prayers during this time of loss.
Thomas Albert Weems was an awesome man of God and our family will miss him dearly. He and our mom Marjorie were a beautiful couple who were blessed to experience love once again after both being widowed. They shared a common bond as caregivers of their mothers aged 97 & 99. Mr. Weems was generous in spirit and too kind for words. He loved his family and his church. He always had a smile on his face and his laughter filled the room. I am so glad that he was in our lives and we all loved him very much. He brought so much joy to our family. We will forever treasure our Sunday family gatherings, family game nights, eating crab cakes & watching old western movies together. Our joy is in knowing that we will see him again, for heaven is our eternal home. 2 Cor. 5:1

Albert was a teammate of mine. He had the sweetest left handed swing. I caught him at the end of his career, but he could still hit. Sorry to hear this news.
