My sincere condolences to the Weems family in the passing of Thomas. Thomas was a wonderful, kind and loving person He and my late husband, Leroy "Shotgun" Sandifer were teammates with the Washington Blacksox Sandlot Team. Over the years,they kept in contact and shared many memories of their baseball days and were inducted into the Negro League Legends Hall of Fame on August 14, 2008. Albert was a teammate of mine. He had the sweetest left handed swing. I caught him at the end of his career, but he could still hit. Sorry to hear this news.
