TIMOTHY BOBBITT Obituary
TIMOTHY GRAVES BOBBITT (Age 69)
Died on February 17,2022 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's. Tim is survived by his brother, Oliver B. Bobbitt III (Bonnie), nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Dr. O.B. Bobbitt, Jr. and Betty Kearse Bobbitt and his brother, Wesley. A graduate of Mary Washington College, Tim worked in various political capacities in Washington, DC, where he lived most of his adult life. No service.

I am really saddened to learn of Tim's death through the Mary Washington Alumni magazine. I got to know Tim my senior year-he was a good friend. We played guitar together on Ball Circle at Mary Washington. Sending prayers and love to his family.

I used to call Tim my brother. We met at Mary Washington and became the best of friends. Tim was so much fun and my family had so many memories with him. That friendship lasted most of our lives. We both shared a deep faith that I know must have sustained him until the end. And he is finally home sadly we had lost touch in the last few years, I hope he was loved and taken care of until his final days. We´ll meet again someday and I will apologize for attending the Bob Dylan concert without him

Never first to speak, but someone who always picked-up the phone and listened; for an hour, for two hours, or three. It didn't matter how much time you needed, he was there.

Always great to see Tim out at mutual gatherings with friends. Tim never had a bad word to say about anyone. Great friend. We'll miss you. You have been and are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace my friend, and may your family be comforted knowing you are with God.

Tim was a wonderful friend. He was so kind and cheerful to so many over the years. He was the perfect companion for any party or dinner, a sympathetic shoulder during trying times, and someone who truly relished and celebrated the success and achievements of his friends. Tim was generous with his time, and his hospitality. Tim was a gentleman and honorable at work as well, where he mentored many and generously opened doors for those who were younger or newer to Washington, D.C. He never took advantage of another person's weaknesses and instead used his gentility and disarming charm to push others forward. Tim was a Christian is all senses of the word. God bless you, Tim.

I remember sometime after I had accepted Jesus the Christ as my Savior in 1968 that Timmy had said that he too had made a commitment also to Christ.
