Timothy Tehan Obituary

March 28, 1956 - February 13, 2024

Timothy Raymond Tehan, 67, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on February 13, 2024, due to complications from heart failure. Tim, the oldest of eight children, was known for his kind, generous, and fun-loving nature, making him everyone's favorite person.

Throughout his life, Tim wore many hats (literally and figuratively) - from coaching football at Georgetown Prep, to being a dedicated alum of Loyola University in Baltimore, where he poured his heart into serving his alma mater. At work, he was a devoted professional, always going the extra mile for his clients. Tim also cherished the time spent with his siblings (Ann, Pat, Eileen, Erin, Maureen, Bill, and the late Dan) nieces, and nephews, bringing his trademark humor and a lot of food to every family gathering.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Lisa, and their two daughters, Maggie and Katie. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. In honoring Tim's spirit, his family encourages friends and loved ones to celebrate his life by sharing favorite memories of Tim, or by hitting the golf course, a place where Tim found joy and camaraderie.

Friends and family may pay their respects from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Friday, February 23. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 24. Eulogy to begin at 10:30 a.m. with Mass following at 11 a.m.

Both events will be held at St Jane de Chantal Catholic Church - 9601 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, MD 20814.

In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate donations to the American Heart Association so they can work towards continued advances in heart failure treatment.

Lisa,
I was absolutely stunned to learn of your husbands passing. I want to send my sincere condolences to you and your wonderful family. I only met Tim a few times when I was working at the house but always enjoyed talking a little golf and sports in general with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Jim Harvey

Lisa,
Our condolences and thoughts and prayers are with you and the girls during this time. Tim's optimism and infectious excitement for everything he did had a meaningful impact in all that he came across. It was a honor to serve him and his clients, as I know how important each and every one of them is to him. He will be missed.
