A devoted husband and father, long time Aston Delaware County resident VICTOR NICHOLAS MORETTI, JR., passed away on October 27, 2006 in Silver Spring, MD, after a short battle with cancer. He was 76 years young. Mr. Moretti retired from Widener University in 1998, after 21 years with campus safety on both the Pennsylvania and Delaware campuses. He was also a part time police officer with the Aston Township for 31 years. He was a graduate of the class of 1948 from St. James High School in Chester. He was an army veteran serving with the 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War. He is survived by his wife of three years, Martha Flory of Maryland; son Victor of Pennsylvania; daughter Anna Moretti Damiano of Maryland; four grandchildren Victor, Laura, Nicholas and David; a brother John Moretti of Delaware. He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Josephine Moretti; his first wife of 48 years Florence Stokarski Moretti; an infant son; and his sister Adeline Moretti Eckert. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 5700 St. Bernard's Dr., Riverdale Park, MD on November 10 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Hospice, 1355 Piccard Dr., Suite 100, Rockville, MD 20850 or Lombardi Cancer Center, Georgetown University Hospital, 3800 Reservoir Rd, N.W., Washington, DC 20007.
