Of Reston, VA, passed away February 5, 2007 at Cherrydale Health Care Center in Arlington, VA. She is survived by her husband, George Halvorsen of Reston, VA; her three children, L. Eugene (Gene) Beach and wife, Judy of Vienna, VA, Phoebe Beach Allison and companion William Jackson of Germantown, MD and Sheila Beach Gould of Frederick, MD. She is also survived by a stepson, Ken Halvorsen and wife, Jayne of Herndon, VA; eight grandchildren, nine great-gandchildren, one great-great grandchild, five step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren. The visitation will be held at ADAMS GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 721 Elden St., Herndon VA, on Thursday February 8, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be held Friday, February 9, 2007 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Christian Fellowship Church, 21673 Beaumont Circle, Ashburn VA, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. The service will be performed by Rev. Jay Ahlemann. Burial will follow the service at Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA. A meal for family and friends will be provided at the Christian Fellowship Church following the burial. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Capital Hospice Development Office, 6565 Arlington Blvd., Suite 501, Falls Church, VA, 22042 (In Memory of Violet Halvorsen) or to The Joy Club Christian Fellowship Church at the above address.
