VIRGINIA ANN DAHL COSTELLO  
On Sunday, October 27, 2013, Virginia Ann Dahl Costello, formerly of Rockville, MD and Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, passed away. Virginia was the beloved wife of the late John Costello. Devoted mother of Gary Costello of Ocean City, MD and Kevin Costello (Brenda) of The Villages, FL; loving grandmother of Candi Wood (Steve) of Derwood, MD and Jennifer Costello of Pittsburgh, PA. Cherished Great Grandmother of Ginnie Wood. Dear sister to Harriett Ellison of Culpeper, VA. Virginia, also known as Ginnie by family and friends and "Mrs. C" by her work colleagues, was a 32-year retired civilian veteran Security Specialist for the U.S. Navy in Washington, DC where her husband, a Chief Petty Officer, also retired. When Virginia first came to Washington she worked in the U.S. Congress under President Roosevelt's and Truman's Administrations. Virginia was a past member of the U.S. Naval Cryptological Veterans Association and Fleet Reserve Association. A memorial service and interment will be held at a later date at Arlington Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
