Walter Wiseman Obituary

Walter Raymond "Ray" Wiseman, Jr. 88, died Saturday, December 28, 2024.
Mr. Wiseman was born in Montgomery, MD on May 12, 1936; son of the late Lillian Mae Riddle and
Walter Ray Wiseman, Sr. He graduated from Washington-Lee High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army.
Ray was a former officer of the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Department.
His kindness and love was shared through his talent for woodworking. He often made cars or pull along rabbits for church missions. His handmade earrings and angels that reminded you to pray were beloved treasures. Ray's goal in life was to make you feel as though you were a VIP. He made a point to attend graduations, weddings and other important life events. He sang in the choir of his church and loved God.
Ray was a member of the Cherrydale Masonic Lodge and was Past Patron of the Hope Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, as well as a former Kena Shriner and member of the Scottish Rite.
On June15, 1957, he married Ann H. Wiseman who preceded him in death in 2007.
He was united in marriage to Alice Faye Pollard on October 7, 2009.
Survivors include one brother, John Wiseman and wife, Joan; along with several special nieces and nephews.
Ray had no biological children but a few he called Godchildren. He knew no strangers only friends he had not made yet.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September 27 at Cherrydale Masonic Lodge, at 2 p.m.
We request NO flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Ray's name to Shriner's Children's Hospital, 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
