Miss you, will

October 22, 2011

dear barbara, i just got back from our house in france and saw will's obituary in the washington post. i was truly shocked. i had no idea that he had been unwell. the last time i saw you was at the landon azalea festival a few years ago. you looked good and all seemed fine then. things do change for the worse quite suddenly it seems.

will was such a great guy and a friend
of mine and our family's for so many years. even though i didn't see either of you very often, i did think about you. i am so sorry for your loss. i will miss will. hope to see you at the club soon. much love, frederica wheeler johnson

I was shocked and saddened to learn yesterday of Will's passing. I am around his age and had known him since we were about 12 to 14 years old, here in Washington. A few years later, we used to go to parties and dances together. He was such an extraordinarily nice person, extremely well-mannered, with a subtle sense of humor.

More recently, I would see him occasionally at our country club, with his wife.

Will was a part of my growing-up, and I shall always remember his kind ways. My deepest sympathy to his wife and family,

Sincerely,

Laura T. Schneider
