WILLIAM BROWN Obituary


William Brown  April 28, 1925 - April 25, 2018  
William Brown of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at his home. He was born on April 28, 1925 to Thomas Mitchell Brown and Mattie Robinson. His sisters Caroline Brown and Bernice Williams preceded him in death and his devoted and loving wife Gloria Tucker passed away in 2017. He leaves to mourn his three children, Capt. Michael W. Brown, U.S. Coast Guard (Ret.), the Honorable Pamila J. Brown, and Gary W. Brown; his brother, Mitchell Brown and sister in law, Margaret Brown; seven grandchildren; and nine great children. Viewing will be at Pope Funeral Home Chapel, 5538 Marlboro Pike, Forestville, Maryland on Thursday, May 17 from 6 to 9 p.m. The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Alfred Street Baptist Church, 301 S. Alfred Street, Alexandria, Virginia at 11 a.m. with viewing at 9 a.m. Interment will be at Bel Air Memorial Gardens in Bel Air, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to the Morgan University Foundation - Varsity M Club at givetomorgan.org.
