Dear Mrs. Ginn,
Gigi and I were saddened to learn of General Ginn's death. I was an instructor at Squadron Officers School while (then) Colonel Ginn was Commandant. He was a terrific officer, the very best kind of role model; kind of what we all aspired to be. I recall running with him at lunchtime -- this would have been the summer of 1972 -- and we chatted about my upcoming assignment to Washington. He gave me some really good real estate advice, which I followed, and we have been happy Northern Virginians ever since. I remember him well and fondly.
Please accept our sincere condolence.

Dear Mrs. Ginn:
J.J. Smith, one of Bill's and my MBA classamates, alerted me to the sad news of Bill's passing. I was surprised because I thought Bill was one of those lean, wiry types who would go on forever and, at last contact, was in robust health. I always enjoyed Bill, and I was delighted to give him a hand when he was a candidate for a CPA. A most remarkable person all around, and I am deeply sorry for your family's loss.
I'll let the rest of the class know when I write the next set of class notes in July.

Nita and family:
We were so saddened to hear about the loss of your husband and father who always seemed so vibrant and exuberant in everything he did. We feel the loss in our community and on our street.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Bill, you were the best neighbor either of us could ever have asked for during the last quarter century. Neither of us could count the many things you did to make us happy. Nobody could possibly take your place.
