William Jones Obituary

William F. W. Jones, Jr., of Plymouth, MA, passed away on December 31, 2024, surrounded by family after a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer.

He was born on August 25, 1940. Bill received a B.A. from Dickinson College, served as an Army officer and earned his M.A. from Temple University.

In 1977 the family moved to Oakton, VA, where he worked for the federal government, specializing in national security, continuity of government and emergency management planning. Emulating the highest ideals of public service and integrity, Bill retired in 2006. He was a proud member of the Senior Executive Service for 26 years.

While Bill's bright mind and quick wit will be missed, his presence will endure.

Bill is survived by Nancy, his wife of 61 years; his daughter Wendy (Jonathan) Loew of North Attleboro, MA; his daughter Amy (Phillip) Johnson of Mansfield, MA; three grandchildren: Emma, Jack and Annabelle; and his brothers David and Jeffrey.

Interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA, will be private.
