On Tuesday, evening, October 4, 2005, at Friends Nursing Home, Sandy Spring, MD. Resident of Rockville, MD, also Ocean City, MD and Fort Myers, FL. Born July 6, 1913, son of Bartolomo and Maria Grazia Biscardi Massa in Oyster Bay, Long Island, NY. Preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Virginia Sorrell Massa; his parents, sister Frances Massa and brothers Dominic and Nicholas Massa. He is survived by his only child Virginia Lee Massa of Laurel, MD; his devoted companion Mary L. Reese; sister Mary Ziegner of North Lindenhurst, NY; brothers Joseph of Lake San Marcos, CA and Anthony of Rockaway Beach, NY. He leaves numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, dear friends and neighbors.A celebration of the life of Bill Massa will be held at a Memorial service on Saturday, October 22 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church, 3820 Aspen Hill Rd., Wheaton, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Voice of the Retarded, 5005 Newport Dr., Suite 108, Rolling Meadow, IL 60008 or Rosewood Auxiliary, Inc., 105 South Crain Hwy., Glen Burnie, MD 21061 or a charity of choice.
