A Systems Engineer of Jeffersonton, VA, died Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, from complications of bladder cancer. He was born in Waynesburg, PA on May 25, 1940, to Frank and Grace Orndorff. He attended the West Point Military Academy and graduated in 1965 from Waynesburg College. He retired from the federal government after serving 30 years at the CIA in a satisfying and rewarding career. He subsequently joined the Northrop Grumman/TASC organization where he served as a consultant to the federal government. Mr. Orndorff enjoyed home and family, loved working on home improvement projects, playing golf, reading and sports. He is survived by his wife, Valerie M. Orndorff; two children, Garic William Orndorff of Catlett, VA and Taryn Michelle Orndorff of Reston, VA, as well as two stepchildren, Richard Whitlock, of Dallas, TX and William Whitlock of Alexandria, VA. He is also survived by one sister, Cynthia J. Orndorff, of Waynesburg, PA. A memorial service in his honor will be held on Saturday, February 19, at 3 p.m. at the Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, in Culpeper, VA. Memorial contributions can be made in his name to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1747, Culpeper, VA 22701.
