William Otis Rockefeller "Bill"
William "Bill" Otis Rockefeller, 86, of Ellicott City, MD, passed away peacefully at Brightview Senior Living & Memory Care, Catonsville, MD, on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Beloved husband of Barbara Pike Rockefeller (deceased), father of W. Douglas (Diana) and Richard P. (Kathryn), and grandfather of Rachel, Sadie, Andrew, Nick, Grace and John Rockefeller, and great-grandfather of Georgia Grace "GG" Duffee. Bill is also survived by his brother, Richard K. and his wife, Linda Rockefeller. Bill was born on May 29, 1936 in Baltimore, MD. He graduated from The University of Maryland College Park with a B.A. in History (1958), followed by a D.D.S from The University of Maryland School of Dentistry, Baltimore (1960). Bill's life was dedicated to his family, who fondly called him G-Dad. He had a successful dental practice in Cloverly, MD for years and treasured the time he spent each year at the family's "Camp", in the Adirondack Mountains. He liked to work with model trains and had several large and impressive displays. He was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Ellicott City, MD. There will be a service for immediate family at his beloved lake house in the Adirondack Park, NY. Bill came in on a regular basis to volunteer with African Palms at St John's church. He was such a warm, kind and wonderful man and I am blessed to have been his friend. May he Rest In Peace.

Bill was more of a BROTHER to me than a brother in law !! I'm glad that I was able to spend some time with him before he passed. He was a really great guy ! I will dearly miss him.
