WILLIAM C. SCHENKE "Bill"  
Died August 1, 2016, at the age of 91. He was a resident of Homewood at Crumland Farms in Frederick, MD.Bill is survived by his daughter, Jeanne Warth (Peter), grandsons Andrew Warth, Alex Warth, and Eric Warth (Melinda). He is also survived by his sister, Suzanne L. Rock of Wharton, NJ, and many nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary, and two infant children, Mary Louise and Edward.Bill was born in Washington, DC in 1924, and grew up in Bethesda, MD. After graduation from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in June 1943, he went into the US Army, serving in a field artillery unit, stationed in the Solomon Islands, the Philippine Islands and the occupation of Japan.After returning from the Army, Bill attended the University of Maryland and graduated in 1950. He was an accountant for Pepco, and then joined Kurt Salmon Associates, a management consulting company in Washington, DC. He served as Comptroller and then Secretary-Treasurer. Bill and Mary moved to Atlanta, GA with KSA in 1974, and he later retired after 33 years. Bill and Mary moved to Frederick, MD in 1990.Private interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery.Arrangements with Stauffer Funeral Home of Frederick and Stauffer Crematory Inc. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.staufferfuneralhome.com
