Dear Mrs. Van Croft and Keith,
I am so very sorry to hear of Billy's passing but I am so very glad to KNOW that he is with God and that we will see him again.
I would have been at the funeral but I just found out today. I was at mom's house for dinner when David mentioned it and my heart broke. Unfortunately, we all found out too late. You know we would have been there. Sadly, I was at St. Luke's in January for the funeral of Steven Lewis and strangely enough all of you have been on my mind ever since. I actually think of you often as God causes me to revisit my childhood and the place where I first learned of Him. There is no way I could think about my childhood without thinking of St. Luke's, you and Father Van Croft.
Keith, I remember you and Billy when they were just babies. You were just as cute and precious as you could be. Always running around the church with those bright eyes and cute little smiles.
I don't know what I could really say that would be of comfort, for I know you know all the scripture I would share. Just keep those words close to your heart.
Thank you for being a special part of my life and I love you,
Stephanie Harding and All of the Harding Family

Ruby, Keith and the entire family, Words could never come close to expressing the sorrow of your loss. Know that our hearts go out to you and that our prayers are with you. Growing up in St Luke's, has given my family and myself the foundation we needed to be successful in faith and successful in life. Growing up in the church at the same time as Billy and Keith has ensured many happy memories and has created a loving bond that has not diminished with time. May God's grace continue to be with you all and his love, in time, ease your pain.
Your Brother in Christ,
Lemuel Van Croft, II

Dearest Aunt Ruby and Cousin Keith,
There are no words I can type to express my deepest condolences for the loss of your son, your brother, and my cousin. May Billy's soul rest in peace.
Looking back, I can remember how we all used to take that annual trip down the shore and play on the beach and walk the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ.
Those memories I will hold on to for the rest of my life.
Take good care of yourselves.
With love,
Pauline Van Croft

To Ruby, Keith, Billy's immediate family, relatives, friends, and St. Luke's congregation:
I'm so very sorry to hear of Billy's untimely passing, my heart goes out to you all. We all cry today, but remember what the Lord has promised--"His joy comes in the morning". May you hold on to your faith and allow our Lord to heal you as you go through this difficult time.
P.S. I'll always remember Billy as a very respectful young man when my family and I were members of St Luke's and Elicia(my daughter)served on the altar with Billy. No one ever duplicated the way Billy purified the congregation with the incense; he was blessed with that gift. He is now at rest with our Lord.
Peace and blessings to all of you!

The shock may not wear off for a while, the but the LOVE will remain forever. May the Loving GOD we ALL serve, comfort the entire family, church and friends at this time. Stretch out to GOD and let HIM heal you. I have known Billy my entire life since we grew up at St. Luke's all together. His sense of humor will be missed by all.
