Greetings to Mr. Washington family, my name is Jeannette and I´m Mr. Washington´s neighbor, my condolences to his family I found out yesterday about his passing and I´m truly shocked and saddened, I have not seen him and I went to the house to check on him but I didn´t get an answer, I called his cellphone and it went straight to voicemail, because he was my friend, we often talked about life, my family and ways to maintenance my house. While baking pies one year my oven broke a few days before Thanksgiving many years ago, I was nervous to ask if I could finish baking the pies at his house, but I did asked and he said yes, that yes sparked a friendship and he would drop off Dunkin Donuts to my home, purchase ice cream and send some over to my family as well. I was Blessed with Grandchildren and they would always wave and speak to him, until one day he offered to be there God-Father. Mr. Washington will be missed, he was a kind and genuine man, but I´m a firm believer in God and I know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
