Peacefully passed on May 21, 2011. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 215 Rhode Island Ave. NW.

My sympathy to Jackie and the entire Valentine family, I know its hard, but remember Ma Valentine raised you all to be strong, she loved y'all with all she had, lean on that love and draw on that family strength, for GOD is there in the Love, GOD is Love and Love is the one thing that can overcome even the deepest grief. Belinda, Jackie and the rest of the family your mother, grandma, auntie and friend is now resting in the arms of GOD. No more pains or wories and she is now huging,smiling and laughing with her children who proceeded her. Be assured that our heavenly Father is there for each of you and will lead and guide you as you lay your mother to rest. Be not sorrowfull celebrate her life here on earth. Ma Valentine will continue to live as each of you speak her name. I'm praying for and with each of you and am as near as the phone should you need to talk.

My sweet Lawrence, You know Ma Valentine always had a very special place in my heart. She loved life and her family, when I think about her I smile from ear to ear she loved you so much. My prayers are with the Family. Mrs. Marion was a loving Mother and the Grandmother of my 2 children Valeria and Kevin. She lived a full life and was loved by so many people. She had a million dollar smile and was a very classy lady. Mrs. Marion will be truly missed but her spirit will always be with her Loved ones. Peace be with the Family and May God continue to Bless and Keep All of you.
