Rev. Dr. Willy Buford Hammond Pastor Emeritus
On Tuesday, November 13, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Claris; children, Lisa, Howard (Lakeesha), and Leslie (William); granddaughter, Brittanie; three sisters, one brother, three sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law; and a host of other relatives. Services on Monday, November 19, at First Baptist Church of Glenarden, 3600 Brightseat Road, Landover, Maryland 20785; Visitation 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.. Rev. Dr. Cheryl J. Sanders, Officiating; Bishop Timothy J. Clarke, Eulogist.

Br Hammond was the warmest, kindest man, who welcomed me into the family of Shepard Park Church of God when my family moved to Washington, DC back in 1987. Much loved, will be much missed. My deepest condolences to his family at this time of great loss. May the God of all comforts, comfort you.
