Winifred P. Hudson

HUDSON WINIFRED PUGH HUDSON (Age 93) On July 4, 2008 of natural causes at her home of nearly 50 years in Alexandria. A graduate of the University of Virginia, she worked at the Federal Reserve System before marrying Charles Albert Hudson, M.D., her husband of over 60 years. She was active in the TWIG volunteer organization, which helps the Alexandria Hospital; supported the Alexandria Symphony; and was twice president of the Red Hill Garden Club.Mrs. Hudson is survived by three children, Kirk, Kathy (Lipin), and Craig, and three grandchildren, Jeff, Julie and Scott. A memorial service will be held July 16 at noon at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Alexandria, with a reception at the church immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Alexandria Library Foundation ( www.alexandria.lib .va.us/foundaion/library_ foundation_home.html), 5005 Duke Street, Alexandria, VA 22304-2903, to support the Talking Books Department.
