Aunt Yola was like a second mother to me after my mother died in 2010. She was always available to chat on the phone, and I shared Christmas dinner with her, Lucy, and Victoria in her last years. I have a particularly fond memory of attending her 90th birthday party, where she exhibit her usual upbeat spirit. I also remember watching her stunning performance as Bloody Mary in a South Pacific play many years ago. Aunt Yola, my God mother, approached life with a nice sense of humor. I'll always remember her kindness toward me. RIP. Love, your God son, Phil
