Harold C. "Chick" Dodds

Harold C. Dodds "Chick" On March 31, 2012 of Centreville, Virginia, formerly of Richmond, Virginia and raised in Bloomingdale, NJ, Harold was taken suddenly from us. He was the best friend and beloved husband of 31 years to Suzann (Donovan) and amazing, dedicated father and friend to Daniel and Kerian. While Harold's greatest love was for his family, he coached youth soccer for over 12 years and volunteered at the local homeless shelter. His love of the outdoors drove him to join the Issac Walton League for fishing and shooting as well as to support programs for local youth. He recently received his EMT certification and was anticipating joining a local volunteer squad. A graduate of William Paterson College and Fairleigh Dickinson University, Harold worked for over 30 years in the IT industry for IBM, his own company and most recently as a Sr. Vice President at VitalSpring Technologies, recently beginning a transition into retirement to travel the world and enjoy more time with his family and friends. He is survived by parents, John and Ruth (Anderson) Dodds of Bloomingdale, NJ, brothers Timothy Dodds of Canada, Michael Dodds of New Jersey and Jack Dodds. His brother, Kevin Dodds, predeceased him. Harold leaves a legacy with his nieces and nephews, all other relatives, as well as all the people he touched. Relatives and friends may call at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday, April 5, 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. A memorial service will be held there on Friday, April 6 at 1pm.
