We met when Tim and Tom were in new agents training. It was difficult for Tim being away from his family, but stories of Tom and their friendship were topics of conversation in our nightly phone calls.
I remember our drive to your home after graduation and then your assignment to Erie while we went to Florida. Tommy was born the day my mother died and we kidded that she got to heaven just in time to make the switch!!! Time got away from us and for that I am sorry. So many times on our visit to VA Tom's name would come up....
Please send me your phone number so that we can touch base on our trip to VA this summer!
Until we meet again....may God hold you in the palm of his hand...
Love, Cheryl [email protected]

Sending heartfelt condolences and prayers to Barbara and the Hayes Family. Tom was a giant of a man who served his country with honor and integrity - as a soldier, as a police officer and as an FBI Agent. Tom was also a humorous and captivating raconteur who easily dominated social settings with amusing observations and commentary. It was always enjoyable to be in his good company. Godspeed, Tom.
