Janice Walker Obituary
Janice lived a life of adventure, maybe more than she bargained for, by living in Knoxville, TN, Coral Gables, FL, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Honolulu, HI and San Antonio, TX, all to support her husband's career as a partner with Ernst & Young (now EY). She made fast friends in every place she lived and was committed to making a comfortable home for her family in each city. She and Harold retired to Blowing Rock, NC to enjoy the mountain life, spoiling grandchildren and tending to her wildflower garden. The love of family eventually brought her to Richmond for her final years.
Janice was predeceased by her husband, Harold Emmett Walker; and siblings, William Jackson Carter, Jr., Robert Bowman Carter and Anne Carter Gaudet. She is survived by her sister, Margaret "Maggie" Carter Anderson, age 100, of Chattanooga, TN.
Her surviving children are Mark Jackson Walker (Janet) of Lakewood Ranch, FL, and Margaret "Megan" Walker Rose (Jimmy) of Richmond, VA. Also surviving are grandchildren, Andrew Jackson Walker (Lisa) of Oregon, WI, Caroline Walker Rose of San Francisco, CA, Margaret "Molly" Rose Brace (Conner) of Washington, DC, and William Harold Walker of Greenville, SC; great-grandchild, Emma Lucille Walker of Oregon, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family service is being planned for a later date at Palmer Chapel, Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, VA.
