Reba Testerman Rash, age 92 of Creston, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at The Foley Center in Blowing Rock. Mrs. Rash was born on January 16, 1930 in Ashe County to Avery Testerman and Maggie Jones Testerman. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Worth Rash; two sons, Cody Rash and Otis Worth Rash; her grandmother, Roselie Jones; five brothers, Paul Testerman, Carl Testerman, Jones Testerman, Jack Testerman, and Gwen Testerman; and a sister, Hazel Roark.
Mrs. Rash was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of Three Top Baptist Church and was a godly lady of strong faith. She enjoyed listening to preaching and gospel singing, sewing, and cooking and always asked if you wanted something to eat. Mrs. Rash always put others before herself. She was loved by her family and anyone she met and was loved by everyone at The Foley Center.
Mrs. Rash is survived by: four daughters, Lois Main of Todd, Charlotte Phillips of West Jefferson, Ardna Rash of Boone, and Sandi Baker of Greenville; one son, Dwight Rash of Jefferson; three sisters, Helen Roark of West Jefferson, Gladys Conley of Mathews, and Ann Goss of Jefferson; one brother, Virgil Testerman of Delaware; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel by Rev. Ken Holmes, Rev. Jody Griffin, and Rev. Guy Testerman. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Ashelawn Memorial Chapel.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the family in care of Ashelawn Memorial Chapel, 3470 US Hwy. 221 North, Jefferson, NC 28640 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
