I have memories of Robert from Beverly Hills and Clara Harris in Concord. However sorry to hear of his passing, I am not surprised to learn that he lived a rich and meaningful life with a sweet family. Sending condolences for their loss at this time. I think my parents had a summer home at Aho in the Boone area also; I am in Arkansas, but my heart warmed when I saw the address listed in Robert's obituary. Sending blessings, Lourene.

Robert and I have been friends since the 1970's, having met at Scarritt College, singing together in the Scarritt Singers, and graduating together. Both of us responded to the call to ministry in different conferences and have stayed in touch via FB for many years. May God's comforting and healing presence surround Virginia and other family members and friends in this time of loss.

Robert and I were in Chorus together and both graduated in the class of 1969. We reconnected several years ago on Facebook and shared many conversations. I got to see you both at our reunion and because we sat together we had time to have a good talk. I was looking forward to hearing him preach at Epworth and have a meal together. Virginia, when I got the terrible news my first thought was you. Robert was so proud of you and always referred to you as my beautiful wife. I admired your obvious love and commitment for each other. I am praying for your peace and that you feel the sympathy and love from all of us that had the privilege of knowing Robert and calling him friend.

My deepest sympathies to Virginia in her loss and ours as a member of the CHS Class of 1969. While I had not seen Robert since our 50th HS Reunion a couple of years ago, we were often in contact per Facebook. I respected his faith-filled journey that was lived with purpose and meaning. RIP and keep on riding!

It was such a shock to hear of Robert's passing, but I know He is with the Lord, as well as his beloved children, Nathan and Rebecca. I love the fact that he found us and that we are cousins. I found so many cousins I never knew existed because of his tireless research of family. He was an inspiration to so many people and we all enjoyed his FB postings of his many motorcycle trips across the country. Robert, you touched my life, you are loved and you will be missed.

Words can´t express our combined sadness. I had the great honor to have known Robert. We broke bread, talked of motorcycle trips, shared information of locations and shared IBA, TOH and AULDR interests. May he rest in Gods ever loving arms.

Our condolences to your family and friends. Robert was one of the strongest, most intelligent man and friend with many memorable stories and memories of motorcycle trips. It was always a pleasure reading and hearing about his adventures. He was always taking photos and shared those with all who loved him. We will miss you my friend. But we know you are with the greatest man in Heaven. You are once again in the arms of Jesus and holding hands with your son and daughter. We will never forget you my friend. May God bless Virginia for she knows her faith is strong and she will be surrounded by those who love her so. Rest In Peace brother.
